Alaska just keeps coming out with the bonus miles promos these days, and here’s another one for skiers out west that I hadn’t seen yet (though it looks like it’s been around since mid-December).When you fly two roundtrips to any of the following Alaska Airlines ski destinations, you receive 5,000 bonus miles:Kelowna (YLW)-Big WhiteMammoth Lakes (MMH)-Mammoth MountainRedmond/Bend (RDM)-Mount BachelorReno (RNO)-Squaw Valley and Lake TahoeSalt Lake City (SLC)Steamboat Springs/Hayden (HDN)Sun Valley/Hailey (SUN)Wenatchee (EAT)-Mission RidgeYou must register your Mileage Plan account number prior to your first qualifying flight and complete travel by March 31, 2014.Per the terms and conditions, you actually just have to fly four qualifying nonstop flights to or from the above airports and they must be marketed and operated by Alaska Airlines. This bonus is not valid on free or award travel and the bonus miles will not count towards elite status. The snow pack is a bit light in much of the west, but you might be able to find some snow in the destinations in Colorado and Utah, and if you have some late-winter/spring ski trips coming up, you might as well check out the Alaska options and earn some bonus points. Also check out the Alaska Ski Free deals since some partner resorts offer you free lift tickets and skiing the day you arrive when you present your flight boarding pass.Alaska is currently running double miles promos on several new routes, as well as double EQM promos to/from Seattle through May. The airline also has a promo for bonuses on purchased miles of up to 40% now through March 15.[card card-name=‘Barclaycard Arrival™ World MasterCard®’ card-id=‘22089566’ type=‘javascript’ bullet-id=‘1’]Sign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions.
