The Cuba floodgates are open — American, Delta, United, Alaska, JetBlue and Southwest have all just announced their proposed nonstop routes from the US to several destinations in Cuba. Naturally, most will bring US travelers to Havana, but you’ll also be able to fly to destinations like Camaguey and Cienfuegos as well. Based on a statement from JetBlue, it’s possible that flights may begin as early as September 8, 2016.Here’s a map of all of the proposed routes:All of the proposed routes to Cuba.Note that US airlines are currently proposing the routes they would like to fly — nothing is confirmed yet, unfortunately, and with only 20 daily slots available to Havana, it’s unlikely that we’ll see nearly this many flights become a reality. That said, here’s the breakdown by airline:American AirlinesAmerican’s proposed Cuba routes. To Havana:Miami – 10 flights dailyCharlotte – one flight dailyDallas/Fort Worth – one flight dailyLos Angeles – one flight weeklyChicago – one flight weeklyOther cities (all from Miami):Santa Clara — two flights dailyHolguín — two flights dailyVaradero — two flights dailyCamagüey — one flight dailyCienfuegos — one flight dailyDelta Air LinesDelta’s proposed Cuba routes. To Havana:Atlanta — daily flightsNew York-JFK — daily flightsMiami — daily flightsOrlando — daily flightsUnited AirlinesUnited’s proposed Cuba routes. To Havana:Chicago — one flight weekly (Saturday)Houston — one flight weekly (Saturday)Newark — daily flightsWashington, D.C. — one flight weekly (Saturday)Alaska AirlinesAlaska’s proposed Cuba routes. To Havana:Sign up for our daily newsletterEmail addressSign upI would like to subscribe to The Points Guy newsletters and special email promotions.
