I conservatively estimate the value of 50,000 Amex points at $1,000, plus you get a ton of other benefits like lounge access and hotel upgrades. I did a post recently about whether the Platinum card is worth it and with such a huge point bonus it’s a no brainer.So if you are looking to start racking up the points and traveling better in 2011, the Amex Platinum card is a good starting point.
