While it lacks the content and history of Flyertalk, it’s a great community and I personally know the founders, who are all bonafide frequent flyers (including fellow blogger Gary Leff).They recently created a Premium Membership option for users which includes free points (which alone are more valuable than the annual fee) plus a number of added benefits for $59. A Gogo Wifi 24-hour pass will run you $14.95. I value 2,000 United miles at around $40. I also value 2,000 Hyatt points at $40 so these three things alone are $95. National Executive Status is another great benefit, where you get to choose from a selection of preferred cars and every 6 rentals you get a free day. The Hyatt Platinum is also a nice perk if you plan to apply for the Hyatt Visa- if you are Platinum at time of application they’ll give you two valuable suite upgrade certificates for paid stays.I also like supporting others in the frequent flyer community and a portion goes to charity so this seems like a win-win for me.
