Update: It looks like fares have risen to around $298 on this route now on USAirways.com and the OTA’s - still better than average but not the best deal.I fly between the coasts often and I’ve seen airfare shoot up into the $300+ range and often skyrocketing to well over $500 for last minute purchases. Today US Airways filed fares at $238 total roundtrip for many dates in October, November and December....

Now, Uber’s released it’s surpassed two billion rides within six months — thanks to 147 passengers in 16 different countries across five continents who completed rides at the exact same time on June 18, 2016....
Update 2/25/17: United has now added the 777-300ER on one of two daily flights between Newark and Tel Aviv, the airline’s first international 77W route from EWR. You can find the 77W on the evening Newark departure (UA90) beginning May 5 and the evening Tel Aviv departure (UA91) beginning May 6. Note that while this aircraft offers a much improved business-class product, you’ll be far more comfortable in economy on the older plane....
Almost all airlines sell two types of airfare: refundable, which can be canceled for a refund with or without a cancellation penalty, and non-refundable, while can generally still be canceled, with the balance applied to a new ticket issued within one year of the original booking date, minus any applicable fees.There are exceptions to this non-refundable rule, however. If the airline cancels your flight or moves your departure or arrival time significantly, you may be eligible for no-fee changes and possibly even a full refund....

Fifty live crocodiles were seized at London’s Heathrow Airport (LHR) last week after border officials suspected inhumane travel conditions.The baby crocodiles arrived in London on a flight from Malaysia. They were heading to a farm in rural England to be bred for their meat before they were confiscated. A Border Force official said that “little attention” was paid when packing the reptiles. They were crammed into five transit boxes — 10 baby crocs per box, far exceeding the International Air Transport Association’s regulation limit of four....
