Dreams of dining underwater (overseas) are one step closer to coming true with the announcement of a project from architecture firm Snôhetta. Europe is getting its first underwater restaurant off the southern coast of Norway. The extreme dining destination, which will appropriately be called “Under,” will have half its body above the water and the rest slanted below sea level. Seated, the app that rewards you for dining out, has partnered with Lyft, making it a little easier to choose dining out over dining in. This is the first ride-hailing/restaurant collaboration where participants are not only encouraged to eat out, but also are rewarded for doing so. Seated will award its users Lyft credits for simply making reservations and eating out at qualifying restaurants. Awards will range between $10 and $50 in Lyft credits, depending on the size of the party and dining time....

The court case of an off-duty drunk pilot who threatened to blow up an Emirates’ aircraft went to trial last week.On June 1, Emirates flight 144 took off from Madrid (MAD) en-route to Dubai (DXB) when an off-duty pilot, who was traveling as a passenger, started causing commotion on the flight. An Emirates spokesperson told TPG that he was not a pilot for Emirates but a pilot who resides in the United Arab Emirates....

Update 10/17/16 4:54pm ET: Aeroplan has reached out to clarify that members can still cancel flights for free. You’ll only pay a fee when changing or redepositing an award. So, while awards are free to cancel, you’ll need to pay a fee to use those miles for a future reservation.Air Canada’s Aeroplan is less utilized than some other mileage programs, but it’s still quite valuable. While it was certainly much better before the December 2015 devaluation, there’s still plenty to love about this program....

The fare collusion lawsuit against the four largest US-based airlines is heating up. After the airlines repeatedly failed to get the case thrown out, Southwest settled in January 2018 for $15 million — and agreed to cooperate with plaintiffs. Now, American Airlines is settling the case for $45 million with a similar required flip against the remaining airlines.The lawsuit alleges that the airlines started colluding in 2009 to keep capacity artificially low in order to raise average fares....
