Previously, Lufthansa owned 45% of Brussels Airlines, so this deal will bring the remaining 55% under the reigns of the massive airline group....

United’s gearing up to launch service with Boeing’s latest and greatest single-aisle jet, the 737 MAX. UA’s variant, the MAX 9, is nearly 9 feet longer than the version flying with a handful of carriers today, including Norwegian and American Airlines. Here we go again, another major winter storm about to wreak havoc on air traffic. While we can’t control weather, we can control our actions when it comes to responding to it when it messes up our travel plans. JetBlue is offering double base points for flights purchased and flown between now and March 3, 2014. That means instead of the usual 3X points per $1 you earn on JetBlue fares, you’ll earn 6X points. Base points count toward qualifying for Mosaic, the airline’s elite-status-ish program, so that means you’ll only have to spend half as much to earn the same amount of points you normally would.You must register prior to booking qualifying travel, and unfortunately, all travel booked prior to this offer (or previous travel that you change after registering) will not earn double points - only those flights purchased and booked during the promotion period....
