JetBlue is adding to the selection of flights that offer its first-class Mint product, the New York-based airline said on Thursday.As part of an expansion to Palm Springs, the low-cost carrier said it would be adding an additional Saturday flight with Mint service on its New York JFK to Palm Springs (PSP) route during peak travel weekends in January and February 2019. These new Saturday flights with Mint service are in addition to the carrier’s established PSP Mint flights that are set to operate daily during the holiday season between December 20, 2018, and January 3, 2019....

I won’t lie, I’m a huge fan of in-flight WiFi. When a large commercial aircraft enters what’s known as final assembly — the joining of key aircraft sections including the wings, vertical tail plane, and the main fuselage — it comes together in stages, entering the final assembly line (FAL) in pieces and leaving at the end almost ready to fly. With 1,489 orders from more than 100 customers, the Airbus A330 has proven to be an incredibly popular aircraft. No wonder, then, that Airbus is building upon this success with a new re-engineered version, the A330neo. US-based flyers will see a lot of the new Airbus when Delta introduces it, mainly on trans-Atlantic routes, next year. Before then, the first airline to fly the A330neo will be TAP Air Portugal, including on its US routes — it will be a key element of the Portuguese flag carrier’s growth strategy, as the airline’s top shareholder, David Neeleman, told TPG earlier this year....

Ethiopian Airlines is currently the only African operator of the Airbus A350-900 XWB, an aircraft the carrier first took delivery of last summer. The A350 operates from Ethiopian’s hub, Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD), on flights to London Heathrow (LHR), Dubai (DXB) and Dar es Salaam (DAR). The airline will add the A350 to its Kinshasa (FIH) and Frankfurt (FRA) routes later this month, as well as to Johannesburg (JNB) later this year....
