Your Uber and Lyft rides in Washington, DC, are about to get a bit more pricey in coming months.On Tuesday, The DC council unanimously approved an additional 5% tax on ride-hailing services, like Uber and Lyft, starting October 1 to increase funds for the metro system. DC currently puts $23 million annually to the metro system, and with this tax, the council is hoping to increase that to $25 million. Uber and Lyft rides will go from a 1% tax to 6%, regardless of destination....

Workers in the US are using the most vacation days since 2010, new research from Project: Time Off shows.The average worker in America took 17.2 days of vacation in 2017, 0.4 days more that those used the previous year. Of the days used in 2017, Americans used a paltry eight days for trips away from home. And the increased 2017 numbers still pale in comparison to the average of 20.3 vacation days Americans used to take annually from 1978 to 2000....

Four university students visiting Venice experienced a rude shock when their simple meal of steak, fish and mineral water cost them €970 ($1,202.58 USD).The students paid their bill at restaurant Osteria da Luca, near St. Mark’s Square, on January 19, but filed a complaint with Venice police after returning to their university in Bologna, a few hours away.Newspaper Corriere del Veneto shared receipts from a number of Osteria da Luca customers who had experienced similar price gouges, including one line item for a €166 ($205....

As of now, BA operates this route 11 times per week, however starting on October 30, 2016, the frequency will be reduced to just 6 times weekly....
