Singapore Airlines is extremely stingy with releasing saver award availability to their Star Alliance partners. I recently snagged several business class awards on the non-stop Newark-Singapore premium flight, though they usually only release seats in the couple weeks leading up until departure. They hold many more seats for their own frequent flyer program (Krisflyer) members, but that doesn’t help those who want to use United, US Airways and Aeroplan miles.However, this weekend they are updating their computer systems and for some reason tons of award seats are available for booking via partners....

Delta Air Lines has apologized for calling the police on a woman who filed a damaged baggage report at the Delta claims desk at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS).“I have never been so humiliated in my life,” Arlene Baldwin tweeted about the experience, saying that she discovered several rips on her luggage after flying Delta from Kentucky to Boston on August 24. As a result, she tried to file a claim with Delta in Boston, which escalated to Baldwin requesting the manager on duty....

Russia-bound Rossiya Airlines Flight 6620 allegedly ran over a ground worker’s foot around 5pm Wednesday while taxiing away from the gate at London Gatwick Airport (LGW).Concerned passenger Flora Lu tweeted about the incident, posting photos on Twitter to accompany a question: “We have been told that our plane ran over a person at takeoff from Gatwick to St. Petersburg.
