JetBlue, the New York-based low-cost carrier, is expanding its presence on the West Coast. The carrier has traditionally been focused on the East Coast (its two largest hubs are at New York-JFK and Boston), but it’s now beefing up its presence on the West Coast in an attempt to better compete against the post-merger Alaska Airlines, which has combined with Virgin America and has a strong presence in the west.As part of Wednesday’s announcement, JetBlue is bringing a number of changes to its schedule for the rest of 2018....

The Freddie Awards are kind of like the Academy Awards of loyalty programs, with all the major players in attendance and all the drama of the announcements as travelers from around the globe vote for their favorite hotel and airline programs. Uber is exiting one more country. The ride-sharing service announced on Thursday that it’s suspending its licensed service in Greece following new legislation, which will impose stricter regulations in the market. Uber will exit the Greek market effective Tuesday, April 10.“New local regulations were voted on recently with provisions that impact ridesharing services,” Uber said in a blog post. “We have to assess if and how we can operate within this new framework and so will be suspending UberX in Athens from next Tuesday until we can find an appropriate solution....

It turns out you Royal fanatics ruined the couple’s honeymoon. And so did we.Back in mid-April, Travel + Leisure leaked that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s honeymoon destination would be Namibia. However, once this destination was made public, those honeymoon plans had to be scrapped. FINALLY! The Delta terminals at JFK (2,3 and some of 4) are third wordly (no offense, Pyongyang!). Everything about them pretty much sucks, including a chaotic, crowded curbside drop off, poor food options, confusing layout, crowded gates and inefficient security lines.Per this press release from the Port Authority of NY and NJ, Delta will build out terminal 4 and demolish (hallelujah!) terminal 3. Unfortunately, it will take years to construct and not much may change in the end....

I think one of the most confusing things about the Andaz Peninsula Papagayo is its name. I am no branding expert, but I think they would do much better named Andaz Costa Rica or even Andaz Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo. Outside of hearing about the hotel specifically, I had never heard of the Peninsula Papagayo and certainly couldn’t point to it on a map until recently.I mention this because before I got deeper into the research and planning phases of this trip, I thought somewhere like the Andaz Peninsula Pagagayo would be super remote and a bit of a challenge to get to, however the reality is different....
