Construction workers have unearthed dozens of 1,800-year-old skeletons while demolishing a hotel in York, England, The Sun reported.“The skeletons were found under the swimming pool,” said developer John Reeves.At the site of the former Newington Hotel, which is being transformed into private residences, approximately 75 shallow graves filled with “men and women, and individuals of all ages” were discovered along with a collection of Roman artifacts.According to a statement from the York Archaeological Trust, this isn’t the first time Roman cadavers have been unearthed in this area....

Flights between the United States and Russia may cease soon, because the US is taking too long to issue visas for Russian crews. That’s what the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday, calling the situation “extremely frustrating.”“The official wait time before a visa interview, which was extended by Washington in August 2017 to 85 days, has been recently stretched to 250 days, that is, eight months now. In other words, there is almost no point in applying for a visa,” the Russian ministry said in the English-language version of the statement on its site....

All Nippon Airways detailed the plans for its new fleet of Airbus A380 aircraft on Wednesday. With the delivery of its first A380, ANA will launch the aircraft into service in spring 2019, featuring four cabins — first, business, premium economy and economy.ANA placed a firm order for three A380s in 2016, and will take delivery of the first in spring 2019 — likely in March. That first aircraft will be operated on the carrier’s route between Tokyo and Honolulu (HNL)....

The Trump Administration confirmed today that it has reached a deal with Boeing for two new Air Force One aircraft, CNBC reports. The deal for the two 747-8 aircraft is expected to total $3.9 billion.“President Trump has reached an informal deal with Boeing on a fixed price contract for the new Air Force One Program,” a White House spokesman told CNBC. “Thanks to the President’s negotiations, the contract will save the taxpayers more than $1....

Even though Delta no longer publishes an award chart, the airline still runs SkyMiles award “sales” on a regular basis. That doesn’t really make sense since most customers don’t know what the regular price is for any given route — it’s whatever Delta says it is at that moment. But Delta does in fact have a baseline “saver” award price for each of its routes that it simply doesn’t publish, and theoretically a “sale” is when the cost goes below that normal low....

Delta CEO Edward H. Bastian made some exciting announcements this morning at the Skift Global Forum in New York City. We’ve rounded up some of the top takeaways from his discussion:Seat Pitch — Bastian made a bold statement about his airline’s seat pitch: “As long as I’m CEO, Delta Air Lines is not reducing its seat pitch below 31 inches.” Delta is a premium airline and that it offers a premium product, Bastian said, without naming competitors....

In what may be the first known collision between a commercial aircraft and a drone in North America, a SkyJet charter flight was struck while landing in Quebec City on Thursday.The Skyjet Aviation Beechcraft A100 King Air, designated SJ512, was inbound to Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) from western Quebec’s Rouyn-Noranda Airport (YUY) around 6pm on October 12 when the drone crashed into it. According to aviation-safety.net, the collision took place about 7 miles out from the YQB, and at an altitude of 2,400 feet....
