A new investigation by CNN has found that 103 Uber drivers have been accused of sexual assault or abuse in the past four years.In an analysis of police reports, federal court records and county court databases in 20 major US cities, CNN found those 103 drivers have been arrested, are wanted by police or have been named in lawsuits regarding the incidents. There are no publicly available statistics on sexual assault incidents by Uber drivers or those from other ride-sharing companies....

Two stowaways died in Ecuador Monday morning after falling from a New York-bound airplane’s landing gear.LATAM 1438 took off from Jose Joaquin de Olmedo airport in Guayaquil (GYE) at 9:01am with New York (JFK) in its sights. Fox News reports that local police believe the pair likely fainted or were ejected from the aircraft shortly after takeoff.According to FlightRadar24, the Boeing 767-300 nearly made it to Panama before it diverted back to Guayaquil after the incident....

A United Airlines pilot filed an urgent report with the National Weather Service’s aviation center on Friday: Almost every passenger on a Washington, DC-bound flight was sick due to turbulence from strong winds.“Very bumpy on descent. Pretty much everyone on the plane threw up,” the pilot said in the report, according to NBC 4 Washington. The extreme winds and turbulence were caused by a Nor’easter that is churning up the East Coast and has grounded more than 2,300 flights....

This past Sunday, around two million Catalans voted yes to an independent Catalonia in what was deemed an illegal referendum by the European Union. Reports of violence breaking out and images of police brutality were shown around the world, with press reporting over 800 injured, though only a few were hospitalized.Police were instructed by the national government in Madrid to stop the vote, which resulted in some of the violence. 90% of those who voted did say yes to independence for Spain’s northeastern, Catalan-speaking region, which has become one of the world’s top tourist destinations with the soaring popularity of its capital, Barcelona....

July was Boeing’s worst month for deliveries since January 2012. In total, Boeing said earlier this week it delivered just 39 commercial jets in July, which was down from 82 in June. The numbers were especially bad for the 737: Boeing that it delivered just 29 single-aisle jetliners throughout the entirety of last month. The 737 is Boeing’s biggest seller, and it may be no coincidence that the head of the 737 program announced Thursday he is stepping down....

Hong Kong-based carrier Cathay Pacific announced today that it will begin nonstop service between Hong Kong and Tel Aviv on March 26, 2017. A father and daughter were kicked off a Frontier Airlines flight on Wednesday after a flight attendant overheard their “inappropriate” conversation.Whitney Miller, 25, and her father Eric Miller, 70, said they were unfairly kicked off the Frontier flight from Orlando (MCO) to St. Louis (STL).
