Delta occasionally has decent coach award availability for its flights across the Atlantic, but seats in the business-class cabin can be incredibly difficult to find — especially during peak periods and on popular routes. Today, however, the opposite is true.Delta currently has at least four business-class award seats available on many of its transatlantic flights for peak summer travel. New York, Boston, Chicago and other cities nonstop to London is wide open, for example, as are more unique routes like JFK to Venice....

A 23-year-old woman is speaking out after what she says was a sexual assault she suffered on board a Delta flight from Chicago to Los Angeles.On June 16, Delany Luh says, she was on a Delta flight to her home in LA. She was in a middle seat between two men she didn’t know. “I ended up falling asleep and woke up to a drunk man with his hands down my leggings,” Luh wrote on Twitter....

No passport? No problem! At least that’s the hope for the future of Australia’s airports, which, as part of a massive high-tech overhaul, are hoping to automate 90 percent of air travel processing procedures using biometric technology by 2020, replacing paper passports with facial, iris and/or fingerprint recognition devices.It’s a tall order to be sure but, as The Guardian reports, the country’s Department of Immigration and Border Protection has already taken steps toward building a “contactless” system that could revolutionize — and expedite — the airport experience....

One of the big travel stories that came out this morning is about a 9-year-old Minnesota boy who got himself to Minneapolis-St. Paul airport on Thursday, through security, onto a Delta flight and all the way to Las Vegas…without a ticket!He was only caught mid-flight when crew members of Delta flight 1651 realized they didn’t have an unaccompanied minor on their manifest and questioned him about it. That must have been one awkward call to put into his parents when they landed in Vegas....
