An American Airlines crew nearly landed (mistakenly) at the wrong South Florida airport on Thursday. The crew of the A320 was nearing its final approach at Page Field (FMY) before performing a go around and landing at the correct airport, Fort Myers (RSW) — about 8 miles away.According to the Fort Myers News-Press, American Airlines Flight 862, which was carry 137 passengers and five crew, was traveling from Philadelphia (PHL) to Fort Myers (RSW) on August 30....

Passengers traveling through Marine Air Terminal (Terminal A) at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) can get a personalized story sent to their phone upon landing.Landing Pages, the first project from ArtPort Residency — a new program of the Queens Council on the Arts — allows passengers to stop by and have a story created for them. The story will be sent to their phone before they land at their destination.ArtPort Residency, in partnership with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, hosts a new set of artists every three months at LaGuardia....

A flight attendant was arrested in Melbourne, Australia, after allegedly attempting to smuggle $1.4 million of heroin into the country.The Herald Sun reports that in May, a Malaysia Airlines flight attendant was detained by airport police in Melbourne Tullamarine International Airport (MEL) after trying to sneak in nearly eight pounds of heroin.The flight attendant, 33, is a Malaysian national and was behaving “suspiciously” after grabbing his checked luggage from the baggage carousel....
