Despite desperate pleas from our parents, my wife and I decided not to cancel our family trip to Kona, on the Big Island, where the Kilauea Volcano has been erupting since early May. Effective for bookings starting March 23, the carrier is implementing a mileage devaluation while also eliminating fuel surcharges on award flights operated by SilkAir and Singapore Airlines.These changes might be welcome for those who are miles-rich but cash-poor; the elimination of fuel surcharges on Singapore Airlines itineraries is going to make these flights cheaper out of pocket....

What’s not to like about Bermuda? From the beautiful beaches and Easter egg-colored houses dotting the island to the quick, 90-minute hop from New York, it’s a great (albeit expensive) getaway destination. Despite its obvious appeal, though, the island’s only recently begun to make a concerted effort to attract tourists who aren’t passing through on cruises.As Bloomberg reports, Bermuda will soon see a handful of new resorts open in the next few years, which is bigger news than you might think, as accommodation options on the island are fairly limited....

Update 6/18/17 3:30pm: At the moment it appears if you book a Delta Premium Select premium economy seat on the A350 and connect to/from Detroit on another Delta flight, your ticket will include first class seating on the connection. It’s not clear whether this is intentional by Delta or a bug, but it’s a nice if somewhat unexpected perk. En route from Chicago to São Paulo, Brazil, with a three-hour layover in Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), I decided to stop by Delta’s newly-minted Asanda Spa Lounge, located within Concourse E’s Delta Sky Club. The spa is a collaboration between Delta and New York City-based Asanda Spa, a six-year-old Soho wellness center that’s currently shuttered, but formerly offered a pretty standard mix of hair salon services and spa treatments — massages, facials, that kind of thing....

If your name is Wendy or Peter, you may be able to visit Neverland for free.Matthew Patrick, founder of the video channel The Film Theorists, recently claimed he had “definitively located” the real-life location of fabled Neverland from J.M. Barrie’s childhood classic, “Peter Pan.“Based on “storybook logic” and treasure map-style “clues” sprinkled throughout both Barrie’s drama as well as the 1953 animated Disney film adaptation, Patrick believes Neverland is situated in Belize, off the coast of the Turneffe Atoll: one of three atolls forming the Belize Barrier Reef, just southeast of Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker....

Bad news for those who bought the La Compagnie unlimited flight pass: La Compagnie announced yesterday that it’s suspending its New York to London flights (caution: PDF link). Effective Sunday, September 25, La Compagnie will stop flying between NYC and London. In place of this route, La Compagnie will add a second daily flight between NYC and Paris “as soon as October 2016.“If you have a flight booked on La Compagnie on or after September 25, the company is offering either a full refund or re-booking onto the NYC-Paris flight....
