Things turned physical on a Southwest flight on Friday when one passenger started throwing violent punches at several other fliers.A video posted to Snapchat shows one passenger in a grey hoodie lunging and punching at another man who is standing underneath the plane’s overhead bin. That man then falls into his seat after the punch. A man in a neck pillow tries to stand up and intervene, only to be punched several times as well....
I know this may fall on deaf ears, but I’d like to urge the airlines to pass along the savings from not collecting FAA taxes onto consumers. I’m writing this post on a Delta flight that I was able to rebook for a $40 savings the day the taxes stopped being collected. That certainly helps considering the sky-high coach one way JFK-LAX fare was $440 - after the little bit of tax help!...

Emirates has been credited with saving the Airbus A380 program by placing a massive 11th-hour deal earlier this year. But progress on the $16 billion order has ground to a halt due to stalled negotiations with Rolls-Royce, the official engine provider for Emirates.The issue has to do with the price and fuel burn on the engine, a design that has already fallen short of performance parameters, according to Bloomberg. As a result of the delay, the companies have missed the original deadline for engine selection, which may delay the first delivery scheduled for 2020 — and can possibly imperil the entire order overall, which now includes a total of 36 A380s after continued negotiations this year....
Travelers originating in New York will soon have one more nonstop option to Africa. Beginning later this year, Ethiopian Airlines will begin operating a new route from Newark (EWR) to Addis Ababa (ADD) via Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire (ABJ).Ethiopian Airlines has received pick-up rights in ABJ, meaning it can drop off and pick up passengers in the city. When the route launches on May 10, 2018, passengers will be able to use the route to travel nonstop between NYC and Ivory Coast — with the option to continue on to the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa....

When you’re on a cruise ship, one of the most terrifying scenes to see is water gushing into your room. That nightmare is exactly what happened to guests on-board the Carnival Dream this past Thursday when an issue with the fire suppression system caused significant flooding to parts of the ship.One of the passengers recorded the flooding and posted it to Facebook from the ship:Video of the cleanup in the aftermath was also posted on Facebook:Although the video looks bad, it was reported that only 50 guest rooms were affected on just one of the ship’s decks (deck 9), and significant progress has been made to clean up the mess....
