However, as of April 1st, it looks like Hyatt will be adding a Park Hyatt Maldives to it’s portfolio - an announcement that has me salivating, especially on this rainy/snowy/miserable NYC day.Apparently, the existing Alila Villas Hadahaa resort will re-brand as the Park Hyatt on April 1, 2011. This was confirmed by a tour company, though I haven’t heard an official annoucement from Hyatt. I did, however, tweet them and their response was, “At this time we have not designated the hotel a point category.” So this confirms the hotel is coming, but I have a feeling they will create a new category for it, though I’m hoping they will introduce it as a Category 6 (22,000 points) at least for the first year.Overall, I’m pumped. I visited the Seychelles last summer and absolutely loved it and Maldives is on my short list of tropical vacations.[card card-name=‘Ink Plus® Business Credit Card’ card-id=‘22129636’ type=‘javascript’ bullet-id=‘1’]
