Passengers Evacuated After American Airlines 767 Bursts Into Flames On Tarmac In Chicago

See privacy policy.An American Airlines 767 burst into flames after blowing a tire as it was attempting to take off from Chicago’s O’Hare airport (ORD). AA flight 383 was bound for Miami International Airport (MIA), but the takeoff was aborted and all passengers had to evacuate.According to the FAA, all passengers were deplaned without injury and an investigation has commenced.As you can see in the video below, the 767 was on fire and smoking badly before fire crews responded and put out the fire.While fire crews were able to stop the blaze, the aircraft sustained damage to the side of the fuselage as well as the right wing.Thankfully, all passengers and crew were able to evacuate the burning aircraft without any injuries.
