If you have United miles, I recommend transferring them to Continental and booking awards there, since their search engine is much smarter than united.com and shows a good amount of Star Alliance partners.Continental also updated their award chart - most notably bringing down North America to Europe business class awards from 105,000 to 100,000 and increasing North America to Europe coach awards from 55,000 to 60,000.Overall, I think these were positive changes to the program, but that’s because I never book coach awards and I love the flexibility of one-way awards.
