Now, in both a symbolic and actual blow to the future of the electronics ban, Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) has been cleared from the list of banned airports effective today, July 9. This means travelers flying nonstop on Royal Jordanian to the United States can now carry on large electronics like cameras, tablets and laptops.The removal of Jordan’s Queen Alia International Airport in Amman leaves just five airports on the US ban list — with three more expected to be cleared off in 10 days. That said, TPG is happy to see that another airline/airport has been cleared from the US list and we hope — for both security and passenger experience purposes — to see the end of the electronics ban very soon.
