This technical issue has been resolved. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience.”Update 11/11/16 12:57pm: According to aviation guru Jason Rabinowitz, the issue appears to have been at least partially resolved:We knew it was coming, and now it’s here — another major IT malfunction, this time with American Airlines. Today’s news follows recent issues with Delta, British Airways, Southwest and others.The issue appears to be impacting flight operations:Airport operations:Online bookings:And call centers as well:And American hasn’t provided any details regarding the outage yet:It’s not yet clear what’s causing the issue or just how many flights have been affected, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the situation and updating this post whenever we hear more.
