Roaring thunder, dark skies and heavy winds have been frightening The Points Pups in New York City – and cancelling and delaying flights in the impacted areas.A severe thunderstorm watch was issued by the NOAA until 7:00pm Tuesday evening and The Weather Channel is not ruling out flash flooding and downed trees as a possibility. It’s no surprise that the weather conditions are setting back travel plans. Here’s what we’re seeing so far:UnitedTravel dates: July 17Airports covered: New York/Newark, NJ (EWR)​, New York-Kennedy, NY (JFK)​, New York-LaGuardia, NY (LGA)​, White Plains, NY (HPN)The change fee and any difference in fare will be waived for new United flights departing on or before July 20, 2018, as long as travel is rescheduled in the originally ticketed cabin (any fare class) and between the same cities as originally ticketed.​​JetBlueTravel dates: July 17Airports covered: Boston, MA (BOS), New York, NY (JFK), New York, NY (LGA), Newark, NJ (EWR), Newburgh, NY (SWF), White Plains, NY (HPN)Must have purchased your ticket before July 16Rebook travel anytime through July 20SpiritTravel dates: July 17Airports covered: Newark, NJ (EWR), New York, NY (LGA)Modification charge/fare difference waived through July 20. After this date, the modification charge is waived, by a fare difference may apply.
